Roughly 30 sleeps to go and the final preperations are underway for our first BIG voyage which will be up the East Coast of Australia to Cairns and the out to the Louisiades.
The work-list has now gone from 2 pages down to 1 and a bit and we are slowly working through the jobs. This week we are polishing in preperation for the slip and anti-foul at SYC next week (looking forward to that job - NOT!!)
We have just sent off the application to participate in the Louisiades Rally which departs from Yorkeys Knob Marina (Cairns) on the 17th September so really getting quite excited about this part of the trip as it will be my first time out in the Pacific. There is a really good web-site about the rally just in case you might be interested - go to http://www.louisiadesrally.com/
One the first leg of the voyage (from Queenscliff to Sydney) we have Graham Warren joining us who we know from Safety Beach SC. We then get to meet up with Lynda Caldwell in Sydney to firstly go to a Carlton V Sydney game at the SCG (GO BLUES!!) followed by the trip up to Southport - cant wait to catch up with Lynda who is currently travelling around Costa Rica.
